Family Music Together

Major melody:

Music Together

Milder Musical Arts is now licensed and registered to teach Music Together. This internationally recognized music course is for children birth - 4 years old (and the parents that love them!)

Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate confidently in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning.

Music Together pioneered the concept of a research - based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that facilitates and encourages adult participation.

Sharon Strope will be teaching this 10 week session on Tuesday at 6pm and Wednesday at 1pm starting the first week in March.

Hip Harmony:

Glee

We are pleased to announce that Milder Musical Arts is starting their own "GLEE" club!  We are looking for guys and gals in the 8th-12th grades to come and join our cast!

Similar to the hit TV show, GLEE, we envision having a fantastic time while singing different styles of music, working on some cool harmonies, adding a touch of choreography, and performing around the community all while getting to know new people.

Our "GLEE" club will be on Thursday evenings from 8:30 - 9:30pm, starting March 4th and costs $150. This 12 week session will be taught by Jamie Shaw.

piano recitalSTUDENT spotlight:

Arun Garg

Arun gave a full piano recital in late February. Milder Musical Arts asked Arun a few questions so that you could get to know this great musician.

MMA: How long do you think you practiced to be able to play all those pieces?

ARUN: Well, with school and other activities, practice time varies, but the cummuletive time is what counts.

MMA: Was there ever a time, in your entire piano playing career, when you didn't want to practice?

ARUN: Yes, but I know I have to in order to play well.

MMA: Does musical expression come naturally for you, or do you have to work at it?

ARUN: It comes naturally, but only Larisa can tame it to sound professional.

MMA: What is your favorite style of music to play and who is your favorite composer?

ARUN: My favorite style of music to play is the Romantic-Late Romantic period, and my favorite composer would have to be Rachmaninoff.

MMA: What are you hoping to do with your music education in 10 years?

ARUN: I don't know if professional music is in y career future, but I will keep on playing anyway!

It's all about the music!
